Shobha’s passion for food can be traced back to her roots in Tanzania – from childhood she always had a passion for cooking good food and kept a diary of recipes that she loved. Her passion for good Indian food culminated into opening her very own restaurant; the appropriately named Shobha’s Rasoi (Rasoi denotes “cooking” in Gujarati language). At Shobha’s Rasoi, she’ll be bringing her love of cooking to the fore from the kitchen with home-style recipes in her own monthly changing specials menu.
Diners may enjoy a host of familiar and unfamiliar dishes – all flavoursome and where possible with a nod to being health conscious. She aims to merge the exquisite flavours of India and East Africa with the timeless techniques of Indian cuisine to create a global contemporary style of offering.
